Born and raised in Ajax, Ontario, Stefan comes from a long line of hard working men to look up to. Graduating high-school in 2004, Stefan knew his career was using his hands to complete important projects and build indelible life skills.
In the fall of 2013, Stefan got married. In finding the women who he was meant to be with he found that the one thing he never thought would be possible.
In the fall of 2014/2015 Stefan was blessed with 2 boy making his family complete. He now finds himself in a position to become a
Teacher - passing down knowledge and wisdom to his two boys with everything he has come to know and love.
A father/husband - Learning how to give myself to others and learning how to have grace, kindness and tenderness as he raises his children with his wife.
In the fall of 2017, he made the decision to move his family across the country in hopes for a better future. Stefan and his family arrived in Calgary on September 5, 2017. Stefan was offered a position as a spray foam applicator, creating warmth for people in the winter and coolness in the hot summers. Working with a divers group of people helped him grow as a leader and communicator.
After living in Calgary for a couple months, we came to the conclusion that this was our new home. The one thing that has brought Stefan joy, is the fact that he is able to look out his door and see the mountains; but not only that, also being able to have the experience of climbing and hiking in the mountains with his family. They are able to enjoy spending time with each other.
As Stefan drives around the city for work or leisure sometimes even walking throughout the city, we have noticed the amount of homeless around, not only that but even when talking with other Calgarians, Stefan was made aware that the homeless have been pushed all around the city, into various parts of the city always moving them around from place to place. He has been making it a point to go down to city hall where he gives his time to help to feed and get to know who they are as people through street church.
When talking with these people in different types of situations, it breaks his heart to know that there has never been a solution to this obstacle, instead the government likes to put bandaids on these affairs to make them go away when we need to deal with the source of the burden. Determining to accept these people for who they are and the situation they have fallen into has changed Stefan’s identity for the better, making him a more warmhearted, sympathetic and merciful man
Later, when entering the city and glancing at the sign that says “Be a part of the energy,” he reflected upon that statement, “what energy”? There seems to be a lack of efficiency in this city. This lack of energy has now caused a spark to inflame within Stefan, one that desires to see transformation and to be a part of something greater than himself.
The time for something new needs to happen, we need to “Revive the Energy” of the city we call Calgary, this province we call Alberta, and of this great free country of Canada.
